Privacy Policy

We understand the importance of maintaining your privacy, keeping your personal information secure and complying with data protection laws that applies to our members and also to non-members. We are responsible for complying with the General Data Protection Regulation. This is the privacy policy of the European Great Commission Collaboration, z.s., (the “EGCC”). EGCC acts as the controller of your personal data, which it can obtain directly from you, or indirectly through third parties such as your organization. The website www.egcc.eu (the “Service”) is operated by EGCC. By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

§ 2 Legal framework – privacy legislation

This privacy policy is subject to the Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation).

EGCC will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of your Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of your data and other personal information.

§ 6 Disclosure of data

Legal Requirements

The EGCC adheres to the highest standards of ethical practices in all our operations and is dedicated to protecting the privacy of all visitors to our Service. We don’t sell, barter, give away, rent, or permit anyone outside the EGCC to use or access your Personal Data.

We use independent contractors and third-party agents, affiliates, and partners to perform functions such as marketing, analytics, providing customer service, etc., on our behalf. These entities have access to the Personal Data needed to perform their functions and are contractually obligated to maintain the confidentiality and security of any Personal Data collected from the Service.

The EGCC may disclose your Personal Data in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to:

EGCC does not accept any liability over the content of these third-party sites and the existence of these links do not constitute an endorsement of such websites. We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third-party sites or services.

§ 8 Children´s privacy

Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”).

We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us by email (egcc@egcc.eu). If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

§ 9 Your rights

You may, at any time, request to verify, access, rectify, delete, transfer and object to the use of your data, as well as request the limitation of such use of your data. We will then make every effort to take the necessary action as soon as possible.

You have the right to request a copy of the personal information that EGCC hold about you and to have any inaccuracies corrected.

§ 10 Changes to the Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.

We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
